Factory 8o8 develops and operates this A-Universe public beta.

Music and your library

The player stores settings, listening position, favorites and playlists in your browser on this device. Account sign-in and library sync are not connected in this beta. Clearing browser data can remove your library and settings; they do not automatically follow you to another device.

Feedback

When you send feedback, we store your message, the page, an optional email, a reference ID and submission time so Factory 8o8 can review it and respond. Feedback is not posted publicly. To limit abuse, the service derives a daily identifier from the request IP address; the feedback record does not store the raw IP address.

We keep feedback for 90 days. Automatic daily cleanup removes the complete feedback record, including your message and optional email, once it is 90 days old. Daily cleanup can take up to one additional day. You can ask us to remove your feedback and optional email using the contact details below.

Website and listening measurement

We measure page views, broad referral categories and device types, and listening activity such as song starts, 30-second listens, listening seconds, completions and track changes. These reports help us improve the website and understand which music people enjoy. They are website measurements, not DSP stream counts.

Measurement records contain a random event ID, UTC date, page path, song ID when relevant, and those broad categories. We do not store your email, raw IP address, full referring URL, search text or a persistent visitor identifier in basic measurement records. Optional returning-audience measurement is described below. We respect your browser's Do Not Track signal. A temporary request limit uses a changing hash derived from the request IP; it is not used to follow listeners across visits.

The dashboard reports a rolling 90 days. Older measurement records are removed as new events arrive; this is not a scheduled deletion guarantee. To stop measurement on this device, use the button below. Your library and music still work.

Sessions, optional return measurement and reliability

We also measure anonymous session journeys, song saves and playlist actions, broad campaign labels, game loading and progression, and technical performance or failures. Search reports count searches and empty results without storing what you typed. A random session identifier expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Server records use a keyed hash rather than the browser identifier itself.

Returning-audience measurement is optional and off by default. If you enable it below, a random identifier stored in this browser helps count repeat visits and listening or gameplay over the retained 90-day reporting window. It is not your name or email, and it does not identify the same person across devices. Turning this option off clears the identifier on this browser. Existing measurement records are removed under the rolling retention described above.

The private owner dashboard can also contain platform reports and cost summaries uploaded by the owner. These keep their source, artist and reporting period separate. Purchases, platform streams, website listening and game scores are different measurements.

Game activity

Game measurement counts opens, actual gameplay starts, finishes, outcomes and active play time. A temporary random run identifier groups events within one run or round; it does not identify a visitor across visits. Game counters are unverified reports, not rewards or payment records. Game records follow the same 90-day rolling retention and measurement choices described above.

Hosting

The site uses Sites hosting and Cloudflare storage for audio and application data. These services process network requests needed to deliver the experience, including request IP addresses.

Campaign outcomes

If optional website measurement is allowed when you request email updates, we may keep campaign labels and a keyed hash of your email for up to 90 days. The analytics table does not store your email address or provider contact ID. We compare the hash with active members of our confirmed email list to report campaign outcomes. A signup request or confirmation-page visit alone is not counted as confirmation. Payment reporting uses captured live payments and their explicit website campaign tags; untagged payments remain unattributed.
